The Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation is one of the leading nonprofit research and education institutions. Their Director of Complex Coronary Interventions, and author of the written manual Percutaneous Coronary Interventions, had an ambitious goal of creating a mobile application that presented the algorithms for percutaneous coronary interventions in a user friendly way.
Operating rooms are notorious for their lack of stable wifi, so it became clear that an app with online and offline operability was a must. The final product encompasses a UI that is intuitive and relies on quick taps for surgeons to navigate both before and during procedures.
